Book Reviews : Tuesdays with Morrie, Hopeless, Easy

I wonder who would actually take pictures with their books? Who does that?
Yeh, exactly, no one, just me.

Hey, I'm back in KL.
It's time for book reviews!
I finish reading quite fast because once I get hooked, I don't let go of the book.
Wait, how dare I call myself a fast reader? I normally take two days to finish a book.
Some people read like a machine, they finish a book in hours =,=
I don't even have the whole day to read a book sometimes.
I started reading TFIOS before I boarded a plane to Aussie last year.
Didn't have the time to read it until I got back and I finished it in a day.
It's too a good book to finish so fast, I had been "forcing" Jane to read it.
I advised her to read it slow and really enjoy the book.
Jane took a while to finish it, I'm glad she did and I'm glad that she loved it.
She was very moved by it and I just went like "I don't want to say I told you but.. I told you"
So, many of you recommended "Tuesdays with Morrie".
I took it slow because I know it's a great book.
I feel that it's a waste to read a book too fast because..
I don't even know how to explain...
Absorb and appreciate word by word, thoughts by thoughts...

Only read 3 books recently.
Easy by Tammara Webber.
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom.
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.
My nephew always plays with my books and the covers are always bent :(

Let's start with Easy.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...
All I can remember is that... it's quite sensual, lol.
It's more a realistic American teen love story.
I guess my expectation was too high because this book is rated an average of 4.21/5 on Goodreads.
The book did make me clench my teeth when Jacqueline got attacked.
It's predictable, she wants him, he wants her but they can't be together under circumstances.
Well, they did end up together, so... it's okay?
Ahhhhh, I'm not impressed with this book, I'm giving it a 2/5, I'm sorry.

Tried to hug three books but they were slipping and the timer went off.

Tuesdays with Morrie.
I read the reviews, some rated it really bad.
Bad reviews are saying this book is like a compilation of greeting cards, lol lol lol.
Hahaha, I guess it's true in a way because this book is filled with life lessons.
I marked some parts/quotes down that I want to share.
Actually, I just want to share the whole book, really, read it.

1. A tension of opposites. (pg40)
"Life is a series of pulls back and forth.
You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else.
Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn't.
You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted.

Most of us live somewhere in the middle.

Which side wins?

Love wins. Love always wins."

2. Love is the only rational act. (pg52)

3. Money is not a substitute for tenderness and power is not a substitute for tenderness. (pg125)
"These were people so hungry for love that they were accepting substitutes.
They were embracing material things and expecting a sort of HUG BACK."

4. I started tearing at this part where Janine sang for Morrie. (pg146, 147)
"When she finished, Morrie opened his eyes and tears rolled down his cheeks.
In all the years I have listened to my wife sing, I never heard her the way he did at that moment."

5. The tenth Tuesday about Marriage.

6. I sobbed on the plane when Morrie passed :(
The man sitting next to me was like whatttttt...the...hell...

I love Morrie, Morrie is cute :)

Hopeless.
Lol, this book messed my mind up.
I was like "what did I just read?" when I finished the book.
This book is averagely rated a 4.47, my expectation was sky high.
TFIOS is rated 4.5, so a 4.47 was really close.
It's sensual, maybe it's just not, maybe I'm just Chinese, lol.
Again, he is damn hot, he likes her, she gets attracted but he's dangerous.
(Ok but still, in my mind, I picture Holder really hot, strong, tall and good looking, lol.)
She wants him sooooo bad and he wants her sooooo bad but then ignores her.
Bla bla bla, *lots of making out, lots of it*.
Super spoiler : Rapes, suicide and kidnapping.
That pretty much sums up everything and it's scary, too much for me.
This book is creepy, I couldn't sleep after finishing it.
Maybe I'm a coward and pure innocent forbidden love story is still my thing #typicalgirl
Why am I sooooooooooo typical?

Hahaha, I have work to do but I'm here typing book review.
Lol, to those who have read these books, what do you think?
Those who have not, read and tell me what you think? Haha.
Bookworms out there, please recommend some good books to me!!!
